Lore
A Catalog of Oddities
Here are the forms most frequently observed in White Center. Classifications are imperfect, but necessary.

The Floating Council
The Rotas
The Rotas appear as floating heads in benevolent circles. Each head is uniquely wise yet unified as one. They hover, whispering secrets beyond human comprehension. Their decent signals that transformation is near. For the Rotas are the seeds from which Pillars rise.

The Vertical Mind
The Pillars
From the center of Rotas rise a tower of heads, the Pillars. They speak as one, their thoughts merged. They rise, reaching for something unseen. They seek perspective or flee from the overwhelming noise from below. They are mostly quiet. When Pillars rise too high and their egos too heavy, they topple.

The Shattered Fragments
The Mounds
If fallen Pillars are unable to return to the Rotas wisdom, they become the Mounds. Chaotic heaps of heads that have tasted unity and cannot bear the loss. They scream, having glimpsed the true absurdity of existence. Yet from their chaos, new understanding is born.

The Solitary Seekers
The Wanderers
From the Mounds, individual heads break free to become the Wanderers. These solitary beings roll across the earth searching for their true identity. They are neither mad nor unified. They roll through the silence, learning to hear their own voice for the first time.

The Restless Sentinels
The Strangers
These humanoid figures arise when Wanderers begin to form bodies. Most Strangers are driven by a strong urge to guard all beings from harm. Yet this noble purpose is a curse. Their work is never done.

The Collective Mass
The Assemblages
Strangers collect heads in their travels, becoming the Assemblages. They see farther, remember more, and feel deeper until balance is lost and they fall. Heads scatter into new Rotas as the cycle begins anew.
